Another workshop on Pastels and Pencils in Biloela, Central Queensland, done and dusted. I was extremely lucky to work with a group of amazing people, including those who had to take a day off work to attend this workshop.

I am gearing up for a busy month. My personal exhibition is coming at Gatakers Art Gallery in Maryborough. The theme for this exhibition is Identities. The exhibition will open on 17 April 2025 (Thu) and remain on view through May 17th.
I am also planning to teach a workshop on pastels on the last day of the exhibition, 17 May (Sat). All enquiries through the gallery.

Teaching private classes has turned into my major social activity.
A usual workshop includes an 'intro' from me - a planned 'show-and-tell' activity adjusted to the student's skill level, particular interest or any other factor. Then the student(s) start working (while I neutralize myself by making coffee and cutting cake). I try to inspire them and they inspire me. This definitely adds purpose and fun to my life.

One of the largest regional art prizes in New South Wales - Singleton Art Prize 2024 has attracted the highest number of entrants in a single year for the last decade and I was one of them. Proudly won the 2nd Place in the Watercolours section and 'Highly Commended' in the 'Traditional' section.
